Pilates was invented by Joseph Pilates as part of the emerging movement to engage in fitness activities specifically to ward off ill health. His program, that he called “Controlology” improves flexibility, builds strength, and develops control and endurance. It puts emphasis on breathing, strengthening your center, and improving coordination and balance.
It looks deceptively simple, but it’s beauty is in the simplicity. Anyone can do it, but it can always be a challenging workout, no matter how experienced you are.
